Services

We are the only practice in the Greater Cleveland area to dispense the Lyric, the world’s first and only 100% invisible extended wear hearing device. Unlike a traditional daily wear hearing aid, Lyric is worn 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for months at a time. You can wear Lyric during your daily activities-such as sleeping, showering, exercising, using headphones and talking on the phone. There are no batteries to change, no maintenance is needed and no daily insertion is required.

Because we are a private practice, we have the luxury of being able to provide each patient with the time necessary or needed to address personal needs.

All new hearing aids come with a 60 day trial period and a 3 year warranty.

Diagnostic Audiologic Evaluations for Children and Adults

The audiometric evaluation consists of pure tone air and bone conduction and speech testing. Testing pure tones is completed to determine the degree of hearing loss and whether hearing loss is conductive or sensorineural.

Assistive Devices

When hearing aids are not enough or not appropriate we offer devices for the TV, telephone, FM classroom amplification, and sound alert devices.

The study, which included 2,090 close family members and friends of hearing-impaired respondents, also determined that adults aged 50 and older with untreated hearing loss are more likely to suffer from depression, anxiety and paranoia. They also are less likely to participate in organized social activities.

Hearing with Two Ears

If you have hearing loss in both ears you need to wear two hearing aids in order to fully benefit from amplification. Hearing from both ears allows you to tell the direction sound is coming from. Without this ability you cannot focus on the person in front of you when you are in noise. It makes it extremely difficult to understand in noise. Even in quiet environments it is more challenging. The two ears communicate with each other and stimulate different parts of the brain to determine the message.
